The board of directors of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, a group which forecasts our likelihood of nuclear annihilation, has added climate change to its list of top concerns for the survival of our species. With that, they’ve once again moved the symbolic clock’s time closer to midnight, citing concerns over the proliferation of nuclear technology as well as growing evidence of climate change.
So, we now have 98% of the most actively publishing climate scientists, the group of top scientists (Stephen Hawking et. al) who attempt to guide our race away from self-inflicted destruction, and some of the world’s best actuaries, throwing their lot in with the “climate alarmists.” On the other side, you have a number of conservative politicians, 2-3% of the most actively publishing climate scientists, various radio personalities, and a former politician turned reality TV star.
Still feeling confident that this is all crazy talk? I assure you, the clock is ticking.
